What Burpee's Seeds Have Done For Me.

Thirty years ago Sweet Peas were my first introduction to Burpee, and for many years thereafter both beauty and healthful living came from the little packages of "seeds that grow". Then on day, as I stood alone, seeking to solve the problems of keeping children and home together, the Burpee garden, which so largely fed the little family, became an inspiration.

Friends said "You have such a wonderful garden - no one else grows such vegetables as these." So the little market garden had its beginning. Only by superior quality could we hope to gain a foothold, and Burpee was just another name for quality. Customers buy our tomatoes when the vines in their own back yards are full.
