FOR PRIZE CONTEST.

Dear Fannie:
I am sending you a book by mail that is more novel than one of the many novels you waste so much time on. Do not eat the first cover even if it looks so tempting. Go to work and raise some mellons such as you see. Burpee's Seed Catalogue has a wonderful fascination for me. I hope you will read every page of it, and then select what seems best to you and have a vegetable and flower garden next year that will make you rich in health and happiness. You do not need a big plot of ground to raise an abundance for your family and so good and fresh each day. Flowers on your table all the while. Burpee's seeds are so sure you need not spend much time and money for them. The thinner you plant them the better they produce. Be sure to plant yellow yomatoes, wong bok, cauliflowers, rutabaga and egg-plant. Of course you will buy all the common vebetables you might not think to try those mentioned. Be sure to order in time so you may start seeds in the early spring.
With love, Vera
