Neither the wet spring season nor the blistering summer heat has interfered with the steady growth of Burpee's with the result that I have had bushels of peas and now have dozens of sweet corn when both in this locality are as scarce as the proverbial hen's teeth.

Five years ago I started my first Burpee garden and I now have under fine cultivation four building lots two of which I bought through a Building and Loan Association and have almost paid for out of Burpee's.
