For Prize Contest

Holiday excitement over, winter winds shutting the family indoors, pleasant anticipations are heightened by the arrival of Burpee's [[strike]] Seed Cata [[/strike]] Annual.

Papers are forgotten, and every one becomes absorbed selecting plants, bulbs, or seeds for the future garden. The order blank is filled and speeds on its way long before seeds can be planted. Father spends interesting evenings telling of soil conditions, wonders of seed life and value of market crops. Mother tells of food efficiency and stimulus to lagging appetites. While among the younger members of the family flower beds are aglow with a wealth of bloom waving in exquisite billows of beauty. Summer comes fulfilling the hope of winter imaginings, for every package makes good in all its promises.
