W Atlee Burpee Co.,
Philadelphia Pa.

Gentlemen:-

A garden should always be a source of pleasure and profit. If it is a a failure, great is the disappointment. My time after store work is limited - every minute must count

After having several disappointments Galesburg users of Burpee seeds urged ^[[that]] I try "Burpee" seeds and quit blaming my failures on poor soil.

Consequently I became a "Burpee" enthusiast.
[[scratch out]] [[?]] [[/scratchout]] Each variety came with planting directions carefully given - bulbs were sent in the proper season for planting, and everything produced.

My plantings are all successes with Burpee seeds and I can take a real interest in my garden, from the time I prepare the soil,
while the plants are maturing, and what they produce. Then after the [[strikethrough]] seas [[/strikethrough]] season I have something to brag about.

So from Burpee seeds, I get enthusiasm for gardening - outdoor exercise, the vegetables repay me financially, the beautiful healthy flowers please friends as well as our family. I know when I plant Burpee seeds I can enjoy a satisfied [[strikethrough]] or [[/strikethrough]] contented "feelin" for I have planted the best and the cheapest and most economical to plant.

Yours truly,
Earl J. Stites.
