Professor S.F Baird.
Director of the National Museum

Sir,
Since the last Monthly Report (March 3d) 602 specimen have been entered in the Materia Medica Catalogue. This includes 527 specimens from the Bureau of Agriculture composing drugs from Brazil, Chili, Argentine Confederation and Wallace Brothers Collection of indigenous medicinal plants.

Some of these from the Bureau of Agriculture will have to be rejected, having been ruined of mould and insects.

There are other articles just received from Scheiffelin also, which have not been catalogued. The preparation of these specimens and the writing of labels, is the work now on hand.

Very respectfully,
J.M. Flint
Honorary Curator Materia Medica Section.
