My mother has bought Burpee Seeds for thirty five years and ever since I can remember Mother has never failed to have a beautiful garden. I have been in my own home eight years. My husband being a tailor by trade suggested that I do the garden work. I had had no experience of the kind but Mother had taught us a great deal about the different varieties of seeds and which were best suited for our particular soil and climate so I ordered Burpee Seeds. I then had my little plot of ground prepared and I planted my first garden, much to the amusement of all my new relatives and neighbors. The season was an ideal one and I had an excellent garden. We practically lived all summer out of our garden, besides canning enough beans ,corn, pumpkin, peas and tomatoes for out winter use. Everyone who saw it wondered and asked the secret of my success. I contended that it was the secrete of my success. I contended that it was due to Burpee Seeds. They have never since failed me and each year has added to this confidence, brought new and wider experience, the nicest kind of outdoor recreation and some little profit to myself and family.
