I was talking with my neighbor the other day and she said "My Sweet Peas are not very choice this year. I bought them at the store." I looked at them and they reminded me of a row I saw years ago grown from home saved seed. Then I looked at my own and for the mot part the flowers were those I had never seen except in Burpee's Catalogue. I was so proud to have such rare colors I said to my friend "You know Burpee is the Sweet Pea Man." She said "Yes, I know that." She had only failed to use her knowledge. We all so sometimes and regret it.
I raised some Platycodone and Sweet Williams from seed from Burpee and am very well pleased. The plants that leave year after year when once you get them are the kinds to have and are a comfort.
