Gentlemen:

What have Burpee's seeds done for me? They have taught me to buy [[underline]] all [[/underline]] of my seeds from the Burpee Co.

The Fordhook Giant Swiss Chard, which I ordered from you, is a joy to behold and a real treat to eat.  Its dark crinkled leaves, broad stalks and splendid flavor are far superior to any I've grown.  I tried other varieties for several years and only succeeded in raising small spinach-like plants which never attained any size.  I decided not to try again.  Then I read of your new variety.

I planted the seeds on June 8th.  In six days they were up and I am sure every seed germinated.  In spite of many frosty nights in June and an unusually cool summer, the chard is far ahead of any I've ever grown.  Already it is twice the size of the other kinds at maturity.  I am so proud of it that I am going to enter it in the vegetable show this fall.
