The following remark accompanies the "G. Henry's Chronometer "In cold weather this Chronometer will run on Mean Time or have a small losing rate."
  The difference is the two Chronometers makes nearly a difference of one degree in Longitude.
  The Chronometers are kept in a room of nearly even, moderate temperature, therefore the Rates should be applied as determined before starting on the Voyage.  The fault is, I think in Rescue's
