ANNUAL REPORT

For the Period from April 1, 1930 to April 1, 1931
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN INDIAN
HEYE FOUNDATION
TO
GEORGE G. HEY, GRANTOR

In Compliance with the Provisions of Subdivision 10 of Article III of the Foundation Deed, dated May 10, 1916

On December 2, 1930, the Grantor, Mr. George G. Heye, appointed Mr. R. F. Haffenreffer, Jr., as a Trustee of the Museum, and Mr. Haffenreffer accepted his appointment and attended the meeting of the Board held on February 3, 1931.
 
TRUSTEES' MEETINGS

The Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on May 6, 1930, and in the absence of a quorum was adjourned by Mr Heye, the Chairman, to May 15, 1930.  At the latter meeting Mr. George G. Heye was re-elected Chairman and Mr. Joseph Keppler re-elected Vice-Chairman of the Board; Messrs. F. Kingsbury Curtis and Archer M. Huntington were re-elected members of the Executive Committee to serve for the three years ending with the Annual Meeting of 1934.

At the same meeting the Director, Mr. George G. Heye, together with Messrs. Hodge, Saville, Oetteking, and Orchard, were appointed to the Staff Committee of the Museum to serve during the coming year.  The other officers, to wit, the Treasurer, Mr. Thomas Roberts, and the Secretary, Mr. Frederic K. Seward, continued to serve in their respective capacities.

The Chairman called the attention of the Board to the fact that the Museum had suffered a severe loss on May 5, 1930 in the death of Dr. James B. Clemens, a Fellow of the Institution.  The Board voted to record in the
