Four specimens taken, one each beneath four stones in the earth, not on the stone. Hypogaeic after rain; in bush.
A small colony found same situation & several single [[2 virgin female symbols]] at Nadarivatu.

Ponerinae. Large, Ponera-like.

One small colony with larvae & one populous colony were found in the bush beneath stones.  When touched, the worker roll up, like Cyphomyrmex, simulating death.  They make no attempt to sting.
