As soon as my caller had left I dressed and went to Wen Yu Hui (Literary Friends Club). This is a very loosely organized group of men interested in things Chinese and general culture, and they are of a very high level generally. Both Chinese and foreigners are included, and the group brings together men of all nationalities and occupations as few clubs can.
