[[image - pencil diagram in the margin showing 5 geologic layers of varying size. Deep Rectangle at bottom marked Strasburg. Thinner rectangle is empty with 10'A next to it. Then similar sized one with Cystmobella inside and 9' with +- B next to it. Smaller box with 8' marked, C1. Bracket to right marks next and last box - Homotelus written next to line and 40' +-, Cyrtonotella and a double ended arrow going between first cyrtonotella lvl and top, C2. A large bracket spans C1 to C2 and is labelled C. Additional information regarding layers is provided below]]

A - Just above Lenoir are 10' of blue gray weathering, but black ls when fresh and suggesting Athens lithology.

B - Approximately 9' granular coarse ls, with Cyrtontella and abundant Trilobites. Probably lower part of my silicified horizon.

C1 - The next rock for over 100' is nodular, cobbly with shaley partings. In lower 40' or 60' Cyrtonotella is common with many other types suggesting Whitesburg.

C2 - Same as below. In all these beds cellanids and Isoteloids are abundant. At 8' from bottom of C Isootelus is abundant, in fact these beds may be Butts' Isootelus bed.

B. suggests the Whitesburg interval seen 2 mil S of Harrisonburg. The Strasburg Junction.
