According to B N. Cooper granular rock in Lenora at Goodwins Ferry was called Holston by Raymond Sowerbyites was found on top of granular beds in cherty ls. See section Bassler's Cement Resources of Va p. 198.

At Stanton on Eedge of city on abandoned spur line of Ches & Western R R Lenoir contains great reef of granular Ls called Murat by RSB. cherty ls occurs above & below the granular beds.

Cooper says that lithology of Upper Chambersburg at Lantz Mills suggests to Grafton but the coral [[underlined]] Columnaria [[/underlined]] is only known from Wardell and probably the coral is a better means of correlation than the lithology. Thus top of Chambersburg here may be Wardell.
