After lunch saw Athens 3/4 mile [[encircled]] NE [[/encircled]] [[line pointing to entry SE]] of Mint. Here just above Knox are 75' of sandy shale with Christiania and other "Lenoir" fossils. Above this is a long sequence of Athens with graptolites. The Athens consists of silts and fine grained sands in lenses. Some of the layers are distinctly flaggy and the graptolites extend through a long thickness. Saw Tellico 1 mile N of old Kagley Church where Cyrtonotella Aerolichas and Orthamborites were seen. Drove into Moccasin then went home
