All Whistle Creek specimens should be [[strikethrough]] relabelled [[/strikethrough]] relabelled to read 2 miles NW of Lexington.

Saw a long section along collier creek on road beside Creek 12 mile NW of junction of 251 and ------ at pipe line crossing of road. Here we saw "Lenoir" with Whistle Creek fauna overlying the Mosheim. This is  167 feet thick and is followed by coarsely granular Murat about 5' feet thick then 40' dark bed st. 12 more ft. Murat.

Above the Murat is "Lenoir" cottoning Sowerbyites. Dark granular limestone. 185' thick Coop got D. atavoides here also.

Botetourt ls. not well developed or exposed but about 8' +/-.

Metabentonite 50' above Botetourt

This is followed by intercalations of slabby Athens ls and Cobbly Chambersburg the ls. 3 wobbly interrelations but only one good body of Athens type 400'.
