July 2
1/2 mile S and east on road just at south end of Cannon Falls. full section of Middle 0rd. St. Peter and Glenwood exposed just east of junction with U.S. Hy. 52. McGregor well exposed in small Qy. about 1/4 mile east of Junction Spechts Ferry on road-side just beyond (east) of McGregor exposures. One mile east of junction with US. 52 is an exposure abounding in cup corals, Phynelotreus Duiorthis pectinella, and small conical Prospera. This I believe to be Guttenberg. The same material occurs on the N side of the road about 0.1 mile east of Guttenberg. Here Pionoderma is fairly common with Resserella. On south side of road 1.1 mile from intersection is a bank with crumbly limestone which overlies the Guttenberg material This contains Clitambonites, Platystrophia, Rafinesquina. It is the Ion or Prosser.
