My husbands death led me to start my Burpee's garden, in order to have flowers for his grave. Ans 8/27/24

It has been my joy and my delight.

It has turned an [[strikethrough]] d [[/strikethrough]] unsightly place into a spot of beauty and is the admiration of all who see it.

It has given courage to undertake and patience to carry on.

Besides adding much to the family income it has brightened [[stamped]] AUG 18 1924 [[stamped]] the lives of many sick ones, and has made all of us love our home more.

I working with our flowers, the children and I have been led to marvel, and to ask questions of ourselves and of each other, and I think miracles are happening in our hearts as well as to the little brown seeds in the earth.

Above all it has reconciled us to the death of a loved one, and has taken away the horror of the grave. If a seed can rest in the earth and come forth such a beautiful thing why not we?
