[[double-underlined]] For Prize Contest [[/double-underlined]]

Burpee's seeds began doing me good as soon as I received their catalogue early in the year. From then on until late fall they furnish me with companionship and help [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] make life more interesting.

My home is on a farm out of sight of neighbors and on a road that sees little travel. Were it not for my splendid garden grown from Burpee's seeds, I'm sure I would feel less contented and happy than I do.

Burpee's seeds are so true to all that their growers claim that I have not only quantities of delicious vegetables and beautiful flowers but also my faith in the honesty and squareness of my fellowmen is strengthened.

Planting Burpee's "seeds that grow" and caring for the plants according to directions in the leaflets furnished by Burpee's is healthy and interesting work. I feel much better and happier when I can spend part of the time in the garden. Both beautiful thoughts and the answers to many puzzling questions come to me as I am caring for my flowers.

If I were a preacher, I would certainly plant a garden with Burpee's seeds and plan many of my sermons while working in it.
