Mineral Fibres    Type, Asbestos

Vegetable Fibres
Grasses, stems, barks, etc.,  used in the natural condition.  Type, Esparto.

Stem, Leaf & Root fibres
Bast fibres   Type, Flax
Foliacious fibres   Type, New Zealand Flax
Seed Fibres   Type, Cotton

Animal Fibres
Wool   Type  Sheep's Wool
Hair   Type  Cow's Hair
Silk   Type  Silk
