At top thick layers of chert. D -11' chert blocky E - Veneer of limestone, gray like that below -occasional ammonites. 731t -crust of first and small knob above 731q is a section of silicous yellow shale but on very top of knob is a small bioherm with numerous fossils. Striatifora among others. The north slope of the knob has a steeply dipping veneer of probable Leonard #3.The rock is the same lithologically as that on the big hill to the west. We found nothing diagnostic in 731t to place it in the section [[below represents a hand drawn diagram found vertically in left margin of page indicating layers.
