pump C D F E wch is straighter heigher, as is seen in ye figure I H, ye great rubbing of ye water along ye straight pipe G J H considerably stops ye force of ye impulse to make ye water pass contained in A B E F, and it would pass better there if that conduit went but to I, and much better if it was larger than ye body of ye pump where ye sucker plays as L M N O, wch must be considered when ye water is elevated thrô pumps to great heights.
