Among the more important accessions may be mentioned 

1. - President Abraham Lincoln's blackcloth, [[insertion]] ^office [[/insertion]] suit and cravat worn by him the last days of his life. Presented to the Smithsonian Institution by Mrs. William Hunt and deposited in the National Museum. 

2. - Portraits [[strikethrough]] in oil [[/strikethrough]] of Abraham Lincoln and Charles Sumner, painted by W. Hunt. Deposited by Mrs. William Hunt.

3. - A large collection of wearing apparel and household utensils used in New England during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, received from the Copp estate in Boston.

4. - A sword carried by Ethan Allen during the Revolutionary War, deposited by Mr. Hannibal Allen Hopkins of Michigan.
