8. - Full size [[strikethrough]] cast in [[/strikethrough]] plaster cast of the Leif Ericson Statue erected in Boston, Mass. Gift of the sculptor, Miss Anne Whitney.

9. - Portrait in oil of Alfred Vail who participated in the invention and introduction of the electric telegraph. [[strikethrough]] Gift of [[/strikethrough]] Bequethed to the Smithsonian Institution by the late Amanda O. Vail, widow of Alfred Vail, and deposited in the National Museum.
