A fine day along coast with cold east wind; but all cloudy west of Carnew. Drove to Kilcarry Bridge, CW via Gorey & Carnew & home. Rt. bank of Slaney & glen [[insertion]] of Glasha R. [[/insertion]] below Kilcarry Br., CW. 12 till 2 pm. Practically no sun & very cold. [[underlined]] Lasius [[/underlined]] flavus ? nest in marsh : a large mound! [[underlined]] L. fuliginosus [[/underlined]] nest going strong in old stump as before. [[underlined]] Myrmica scabrinodis [[/underlined]] nest under stone. [[underlined]] Bombus agrorum [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] seen.
