Fine only in forenoon & for an hour between 5 & 6 pm. Very heavy rain & gale from 7pm all night. Drove to Avoca, Co. WI. & explored old lane on N. side of valley 1/4 N. of Ballyarthur gate. Here saw or took:- [[underlined]] Bombus agrorum, lucorum, [[/underlined]] lapidarius (1) [[2 virgin female symbols]]. [[underlined]] Andrena fucata [[/underlined]], worn [[2 female symbols]] (2) on bramble.
