WI. AAL said he heard Chiff Chaff at 1 & 2 I did not! [[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] a few [[2 female symbol]] seen at willows at 1 pm field beyond 2 & opposite 3. One [[female symbol]] working! [[underlined]] B. terrestris [[/underlined]] 2 [[2 female symbols]] just out on willows in field opposite 3. [[underlined]] Andrena clarkella [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] common at 2. [[underlined]] Andrena [[/underlined]] sp.: [[2 male symbols]] seen at 1 which looked like [[underlined]] praecox [[/underlined]] or [[underlined]] apicata [[/underlined]], but may have been [[underlined]] clarkella [[/underlined]]. Amblyteles [[insertion]] = crispatorus var. ? black & yellow [[/insertion]] [[female symbol]] on side of bank. Nothing out at any place visited & no Bumbles on willow along Liffey at Knockmaroon, though there in fall flowers. After nearly a fortnights beautiful weather soft warm rain came on on Sat. morning (28th) & during the night a cold "jam" formed & today we had half a gale from S.E. with sheets of cold rain & sheet.
