very smooth drying very slow and falling soon. Only seen on new, culms, already dry, light [[large colds?]] and with sides open
Blade broad lanceolate perpendicular to sheath or slightly reflexed or slightly up. Only on few terminal  ones it is +/- erect.  Oval retrae +/- united forming a band, only on top of edge.
Sheath very hard, opaque outside, bright inside. Part of the culm with all the bark compleat developped
