Pleasant this morning - Weather somewhat threatening from 10 AM all day - Looks as if we will have rain or snow soon -

Both Collieries worked 9 hours -

Martin Roberts, Bottom Man, #1 Slope, Buck Mountain Colliery, was hurt slightly this PM. While hoisting and lowering men, a poleander laborer threw a pick out of one on the cars and the point sank into his head right above his eye - Poleander did not see Martin - Went home - Roberts is fortunate in not having been struck in the eye, or some other weak spot -

Beautiful day - Snow is melting fast - Some sleighs are being used -

Election Day -

Mrs & Mr Delano, and Mr Jones and Elmer came down to New Boston on the 8.20 AM train-  Remainded here in office until about 9.30 AM and then Mrs. Delano, Mr. Delano, & Mr. Jones drove up (carraige) to Vulcan, then to Buck Mtn store, thence back to New Boston-  Arrived here about 10 to 12-  Messrs Delano & Jones met Mr. Daniel Thomas of Morea here-  Went up to dinner at 1.30 PM.  Mrs & Mr. Delano, and Mr. Jones went back to Hazleton on the 2.16 Pennsylvania train --

Dodson Coal Co's team was here this PM. for the 2 letting drums Mr Jones sold them - For Kaska William Colliery - $230.- total -

Vulcan worked only 7 hours and B Mtn - At Vulcan we were blocked up with coal -

Received word on the embargo sheet to-day that the R R Co would only run cars 3 days this week tomorrow will be the last -  They will not run cars on Monday, Washingtons birth day-
