Beautiful day -

Both Collieries idle R.R. Co not running cars -

Jim Kishbaugh called up yesterday, and reported to Mr. Jones, that the "L.V." were willing to furnish us extra cars, for "Buck Wheat" coal, if we would be willing to start up our "Laundry" at Vulcan, thereby increasing the production of "Buck Wheat", of which they are in need [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]]- The Laundry coal is about 50% of "Buck Wheat", and if we started the Laundry, the other 50% of the production from there, would have to be transported in cars, which would be counted against our regular allotment- Owing to the little time being worked, etc (one day per week) and because the "LV" will not supply [[underlined]] extra [[/underlined]] cars, for the full product - in from the Laundry - for coal of all sizes, Mr. Jones told Jim Kishbaugh that he would not be willing to start up the Laundry under such conditions - as it would not pay us- Is willing, if they will supply extra cars for Laundry's full production, of all sizes of coal- If they accept Mr. Jones proposition, would like to be notified one or two days before hand- Will want 40/4 Cars per day as extra - (Mr W Kishbaugh on vacation)

Limited number of men working -

Both Collieries idle - It would be easier to note when the Collieries are working -
