Rained a little last night - Pleasant all day until 5.30, when it commenced raining - came down lively for a while still raining -

Both Collieries worked 9 hours -

The 2 Porter Air Locomotives arrived at Buck Mountain Colliery this morning - Expect to have plant ready in about 2 weeks - Will probably take them down on Wednesday -

Everything quiet -

We had some stove and nut coal standing at Vulcan during the last few days - Mr. Kishbaugh cleared it out today -

Gave out contract, last Friday, for placing porches at the back of Vulcan houses; and painting New Boston and Buck Mountain stores - Mr. Jones will erect fences for the people at Vulcan, if they promise to clean up around, etc.
