Grey, this morning - Sun came out about 8:30 Am
Pleasant all day

Both Collieries worked 10 hours -
The Lehigh Valley cut our allotment to-day - 85 cars per day and empties standing over from last Saturday is too much for us, as Buck Mountain is doing very poor - We are working hard at Buck Mountain to bring it up to its old standing - Trouble is that we have not enough miners - Only have about 86 parties while at Vulcan we have 126 -

Artesian well at Vulcan, [[number symbol]]3, is now down 603 feet, green sand stone - We will test this holes capacity soon -

We are exercising great care with Vulcan's preparation - Large sized [[strikethrough]] p [[/strikethrough]] mesh, plates have been placed after the Chestnut Jigs to take out the small chestnut, which runs the percentage of nut in Pea over [[superscript]] 5 [[/superscript]] /8[[inch symbol]] mesh considerably up -

Mr. Griese, representing H W John's Mfg Co. called his PM - Are going to cover steam line at Vulcan, Boilers to Hoisting Engs with Asbestos Covering.
