Pleasant all day -

Both Collieries worked 5 hours -

Had 14 3/4 cars condemmed coal at Vulcan - Billed 5/4 nut to New Boston and repaired the remainder this Pm - Principally chestnut, few cars stove and of Egg - Engine came in 20 [[??]] of 2 to pull it up; was about 3 Pm when coal was pulled up - Asked Delano at 9 am to send in engine at 11 oclock to pull it up - Last Saturday we had 
about 7 cars to reprepare but after holding the men until 3 oclock, we sent them home, as the engine did not come in, as requested -

Run through all but 2 cars - worked until 8ยท30 Pm

Block of "Poleander" Houses burnt down at Morea, in Brooklyn this evening - Cause of fire - unknown - started up [[strikethrough]] th [[/strikethrough]] stairs -
Wedding was being celebrated -
