Buck Mountains Colliery started up this morning;
after working 2 hours hoisting rope on #2 [stope?]
broke and 3 cars, loaded, run back -
Cars were off 3rd Lift switch - were pulling them on -
rope parted 400 feet above chain - cars run back
slope, stuck between 3 & 4 lifts - cars broken - Old
Stockton Rope -
Vulcan worked 10 hours



Morris Canal will close down for the
season tomorrow night -
