Beautiful day - Sun shining brightly - Sun melted the ice, and roads are wet

Both Collieries worked 8 hours - Hereafter, so long as the allotment is only 53 cars, we shall work only 8 hours per day, as we can load our cars easily in that time - To-day we started at 7 Am, but tomorrow and afer will start at 7.15 and quit at 3.45 Pm. 8 hours, allowing 1/2 hour for dinner -

The less number of days we work, the greater the output per hour at both Collieries, as the miners fill their places while the Collieries are idle - This shows that we have not enough miners at either Colliery, especially at B.Mtn, which fell below 900 tons per day of 10 hours last month. Vulcan produced 950 tons per day -

Beautiful day -

Both Collieries worked 8 hours -

Restriction is still on to Coal to Perth Amboy - Have 9 1/4 cars Broken standing at Vulcan - no place for it - Believe we are breaking some Broken down at Vulcan - Mr Kishbaugh said he received a letter to-day from a New York party, stating that a boat was on the road to Perth Amboy - said this would take nearly all the Broken there -

Received 21 gondolas at each place today - if we received this proportion everyday we would be fixed all right in that line -

We are waiting for the new boilers at Vulcan Colliery, for the new nest - Boilers were shipped to-day from Jeanesville -
