The collection of patents, etc., with the beginnings of a card catalogue of this collection, the printed documents alluded to above, the ms. catalogue of the specimens on exhibition, the card catalogue of the whole collection, the two volumes of the regular Museum catalogue in which the specimens are entered as received, and a number of other lists relating to the collection (of donors, of artists represented, etc.), are at present at the Museum of Fine Arts, in Boston, and can be transferred to Washington by sending an order to that effect to the Assistant Curator of the Print Department at the museum named.
To make it possible to trace every specimen, the place where it is to be found has been entered in pencil against each item in the two volumes of the general museum catalogue.  The abbreviations used are as follows:-
