FOR PRIZE CONTEST

My garden, with its riot of color and perfume has been a joy all summer.

The sweet peas with colors too numerous to mention from shining white, rich cream and gorgeous pink to darkest crimson, have been perfectly wonderful with three or four large frilled blooms on each long strong stem, and my calendulas, a solid bed of Orange King, are the largest and most beautiful I have ever seen.

My Burpee garden of every hue
From flaming red and azure blue
To shining gold and glistening white
Has been my summer's chief delight.
