Dear Sirs:-

On page 11 of your catalogue, you ask for a letter of not more than 100 words on the growing of sweet peas. Here is mine.
Sweet peas, like all other plants of tender lineage, must have conditions as ideal as possible, if one would have gratifying results. Here is my swwet pea formula for 1925.-
All-day sun - moisture retaining ground, or, sheltered part of garden - trench two feet deep, two feet wide filled with rich loamy mixture - two rows of seeds, six inches deep and from six to eight inches apart - six foot poultry wire between rows.Water frequently first six weeks, and weekly apply fertilizer, preferably liquid cow manure, which must be immediately preceded by rain or watering. BURPEE seeds guaranteed - USE THEM.

Yours truly,
William Macdonald

[[handwritten]] Shall send you photographs later. My sweet peas - [[? ?]] will be at their best next week.
