"For Prize Contest."

I have used Burpee's seeds for many years, among some [[strikethrough]] of, them [[/strikethrough]] that, have had, unusual good luck with were; Grand Rapids & New York Head Lettuce; Globe Turnips, Country Gentlemen Corn & Winter Queen celery.

We raise our own plants from Burpee's seed of Winter Queen, planting so as to set out the latter part of Aug., in trenches, leaving there, dig out any time till up in Jan. after protection with dirt, leaves & carpet. Find nicely blanched.

Also have raised grand [[underlined]] Pansies. [[/underlined]] planting in boxes in Mar. & set out, or in Aug. the yr. before will make fine bed ^[[of]] spring plants.

Had wonderful luck, with Asters, Snap Dragons & Climbing Nasturtiums.
