^[[19]] ^[[8-22-25]] [[stamped]] AUG 25 1925 [[/stamped]] For the Prize Contest: In January I bought six dollars worth of Burpee seeds. I planted Tomatoes, Peppers, Cabbage, Egg-plant, Cucumbers, Cantaloupes and Squash in hot-beds for early market. I sold seventy dollars worth of the plants to neighbors. Later I planted Turnips, Beans, Peas, Okra, Butter-beans and Corn. Late frosts killed some plants and the drouth and hot winds damaged my garden very much. I have sold three hundred and seventy five dollars worth of vegatables and I have lots more to sell. I have served three or more vegatables on my table twice daily and canned one hundred and forty seven quarts. Mrs. Fred Reutz, Mabelvale, Ark.
