[[underlined]] FOR PRIZE CONTEST [[/underlined]]

623 Baily Road,
Lansdowne, Penna.

W. Atlee Burpee Co.,
Philadelphia, Pa

Gentlemen;
Making the desert blossom like the rose is what Burpee's seeds accomplished for us in one year in a virgin clay soil backyard.

A plot 25 x 15 supplies our table with ten delicious Burpee vegetables. A ten cent packet of Burpee's New Zealand spinach in a twenty foot row furnished six persons all the "tonic" they needed. It is unaffected by drought, heat or insects. Burpee's Stringless Green Pod Beans and Mignonette Lettuce have also been heavy producers.

A trial packet of Fairy Poppies proved true to name. Their unusual colors and exquisite fringing aroused much favorable comment.

Very truly yours,
