I have the honor herewith to return papers referred to me by you on the 22" inst. in relation to the house of Mr. Wm. H. Oliver, at New Berne, with copy of a letter of Capt. & Bvt. Maj. F.A. Seely, A.Q.M. regarding the same matter.  In compliance with instructions to report in the case, I have the honor to state that the building has been ordered to be turned over to Mr. Oliver, as it appears that the Post Q.M. at New Bern can furnish an office in place of the house in question.
