Executive Chamber Raleigh Sir Your communication of this date containing the proposition of his Excellency to refer complaint of Captain J.F. Curren in regard to alleged injustice done freedmen in Johnson County to a joint investigation of Agents appointed by him & myself respectively is received. In reply I beg to say that I will accept the proposition and name at the proper time an officer to represent the Bureau. I am Sir Very respectfully Your Obdt Servant J.V.
