Your communication of this date containing the proposition of his Excellency to refer complaint of Captain J.F. Curren in regard to alleged injustice done freedmen in Johnson County to a joint investigation of Agents appointed by him & myself respectively is received.
In reply I beg to say that I will accept the proposition and name at the proper time an officer to represent the Bureau.
