I am directed by the Acting Asst Comr to acknowledge receipt of your provision receipts form 62, but which are defective inasmuch as they do not specify the amounts issue in some cases and are not accompanied by abstract of stores issued and received form 63, without which it is impossible to make return as required from these Hd Qrs form 64.  Please furnish the same at your earliest convenience.

I have the honor to request that transportation be furnished for George Bethel 10 adults and 7 children between 12 and 2 years of age destitute freedpeople from Haw River Alamance County N.C. to Como Depot Panola Co Miss.
George Bethel formerly of this State was some years since sold & taken to Miss. where he has since made a lucrative business for himself and by which he can support his family and where his relations can also find employment.  The entire party are now destitute and will continue a charge for some time to come unless removed.  Mr Swepson who signed the enclosed papers is a gentleman well known in this City and whose can be relied on they are also confirmed by other leading citizens.
