I am directed by the Acting Asst Commissioner to inform you that in consequence of the report of the Board of Officers appointed to investigate your Official Conduct in relation to the delivery of Government transportation furnished by the Bureau for certain freedmen under contract with Mr Barron of La - he feels it his duty to dispense with your services as Agent of the Bureau of R.F. & A.L. from this date.  You of course are now at liberty to avail yourself of the order to appear before the Examining Board New York a postponement of which was authorized by War Dept - a copy of which is herewith enclosed.  Also special orders from these Head Quarters in the premises.  [[Footnote 1]]
