Captain

I have the honor to report for the information of the Maj Genl Comdg that prompt measures have been taken to carry out is instructions relative to the selection of suitable persons to act as Registers and Inspectors of elections.
The lists are now coming in and I hope to be able to forward at an early date complete rolls of nominations of men of undoubted loyalty to fill the positions named. Owing to the almost inaccessable position of many of the Counties in this State, a delay longer than I had anticipated will necessarily occur, but even with this obstacle trust that the task will be speedily and satisfactorily accomplished.
