ing like the "blue & yellow" of the Northern Andes or the "blue & chestnut" of Bolivia.

^margin in red [[Brun?]] 8:55 am. Up by crest ridge again. Flush a small ^[[one check mark above]] dark Diglossa (Brun?) from low scrub. It flies off. Silent. Definitely alone.

Then see large flock uphill (approximately 8800 ft). Includes ^[[4 check marks above]] 4 ^[[circled 1 above]] Firebellies, ^[[2 check marks above]] 2 [[underlined]] Th. ^[[circled 2 above]] cyanocephala, [[/underlined]] ^[[2 check marks above]] 2 ^[[circled 3 above]] "BCBT"s, [[underlined]] ^[[1 check mark above]] 1 or ^[[circled 4 above]] 2 Blue & Orange Tanagers [[/underlined]] (quite definite - same subspecies as at Carpish), and [[double underline]] ^[[1 check mark above]] one ^[[circled 5 above]] trogon [[/double underline]] (definite - apparently same species seen below). ^margin [[Also, 1 [[underlined]] Delothraupis [[/underlined]] 1 check mark, circled 6]] All in "transition" zone between 2 sides of mountain Low, moderately thick scrub with occasional trees: "BCBT"s and Trogon tend to stay in trees. Trogon flycatches. [[underlined]] Th. cyanocephala [[/underlined]] probably usually in trees also. Both Firebellies and Blue & Oranges usually low, only 6"-2' above ground. Group obviously highly integrated. Firebellies sometimes in lead. [[underlined]] Th. cyanocephala [[/underlined]] in lead at other times. Blue & Orange(s) f -> Firebellies repeatedly. [[underlined]] Th. cyanocephala [[/underlined]] j -> "BCBT"s. "BCBT"s f -> group. Firebellies j -> trogon. Firebellies f -> [[underlined]] Th. cyanocephala. [[/underlined]]

^margin in red [[Cy]] At one time, ^[[1 check mark above]] Cy ^[[circled 7 above]] j -> group. But apparently only briefly. ^margin in red and underlined [[Lenia?]] [[underlined]] And I would swear that a ^[[circled 8 above]] single ^[[1 check mark above]] Lenia [[/underlined]] (with moustaches) [[underlined]] also joined group briefly [[/underlined]] !!!!

Starting back down path 9:30 am.

9:48 8625 ft. A ^[[1 check mark above]] single blue & chestnut bird flies across path. Probably Plush-cap. Silent. Definitely alone.
