Is this "Ta-zee" type song more sexual or more hostile than the ordinary twitter??? [[underlined]] Or merely higher intensity [[/underlined]]??? (Looking over my notes on all Diglossini in the Quito region and Chiriqui, I think that the latter is probably true.)

I think that possibly the whole [[underlined]] basic [[/underlined]] repertory of diglossine vocalizations could be summarized as follows:

[[margin in red]] General [[/margin]]
1. "Song". Partly sexual and partly hostile.
a. Composed of distinct notes - high intensity
b. "Aimless" twitter - low intensity

2. Harsh Notes. HAC, harsh "zeee"s of CC, etc. Hostile. Probably high intensity.

3. R and/or rapid twitter. "Greeting" and aggressive

4. CN's. Possibly divisible into "Tsit"s (hostile?) and "Tseeeeet"s (PN's?)

[[margin in red]] Carbo [[/margin]]
