I am certainly not sure that I can tell them apart. it is even conceivable that the Bauleuterus do not utter R's at all. Altho unlikely. Still I must try to check this point carefully.

All songs except R's stopped now 5:50. It looks as if the breeding season hasn't begun yet for most things here.

A Myst hasn't shown up yet.

Even R's stopped 5:53. A few furnariids[[?]] going. And I can hear miscellaneous CN's around.

5:55. Can hear what I think is Firebelly "twitter".

There was certainly even less song here early today than on the previous mornings I was hear. Did the birds start to get in reproductive mood when it was so rainy here? And have they regressed now after several days of more or less dry weather???

6:02. Hear quite a lot of what seem to be the [[underlined]]rufinucha[[/underlined]] songs just down hill. One bird going at it quite steadily. Usual form.

6:03. Hear what may be a burst of Whitestart song.

6:08. Single Firebelly ^[[1 black check mark above]] perched high and exposed on small tree utters lots of twitter phrases. Each twitter apparently based on something like "Taseezuh taseezuh taseezuh ....." Probably related to "Ta-auh" of Quito birds. But high & thin. Not at all nasal.

6:15. Another Whitestart ^[[1 black check mark above]]singing energetically.

Also Bl & Or Stripe

Then see a single Black Thrush all alone.

Then see a single Firebelly in bush, between singing Whitestart [[1 black check mark above]] & singing Bl & Or Stripe (which are about 15 ft apart) Firebelly feeding quietly. Apparently ignoring the others. (Unfortunately, I can't see the Bl & Or Stripe. It might just possibly be a hummingbird. Very mechanical.)
